Admissions in Australia
Australian universities accept intake across their universities twice each year:
February intake is the Primary (main) Intake in Australia, and as the name suggests it starts in February, the secondary intake falls in July. Like most of the countries, the Primary intake will have the most number of the courses offered by almost every University. The July intake will have limited number of Universities offering limited number of courses to choose.
There are other intakes like September and November intake in Australia, too, with even fewer courses. Vocational Courses have the intakes for January, May or July, depending upon the course and University.
Different Universities have different deadlines for each intake, so application process should be planned accordingly. Start before six months, be done with Language and Entrance Tests before three months and dedicate remaining time for the admission and visa processes”
Deadlines for Australia Intakes
- Deadlines for February Intake in Australian Universities: October - November
- Deadlines for July Intake in Australian Universities: April - May
Which Intake in Australia should I go for?
If you are worried about the right intake to choose in Australia, here is some clarity for you. As we have mentioned, the February (also called semester 1), is the primary intake in Australia and most of the courses, almost all the courses are offered during the February intake by almost all the universities.
The Universities also offer courses in July, and if you miss the admission by any means in February, July is an option for you. There are also intakes for October/November, however, only a handful of universities offer them and the courses offered in them are even scarce. Some of the universities also have the year-round application, where you can apply any time of the year, but the options are selected there, too.

Band Score– 8 (Overall)
Professional staffs, Good materials, effective techniques, and great ambience for studying. Listening - 8.5, Reading – 9, Writing – 7, Speaking - 7.5. I wanted to take the IELTS Exam to apply for Canadian PR for a long time. Even though I practiced a lot, and did a lot of self-study, I was not confident to take the test mainly due to my writing skills. I was fairly good at listening and reading, but after joining Einstro academy and incorporating their techniques my listening and reading scores increased substantially and the same reflected in my actual exam. I would gladly suggest Einstro for IELTS training, and especially for people who are struggling in writing. My heartfelt thanks to Einstro academy for helping me achieve my desired score.
